Learn how to collect, clean, analyse and visualise business data using Power BI. Build interactive reports and dashboards and develop the practical skills required to convert data into meaningful business insights.
Businesses generate large amounts of data every day. The ability to understand that data and present it in a meaningful way is an important skill for modern organisations.
This course introduces students to the complete practical workflow of data analytics using Microsoft Power BI. Learners work with data from different sources, clean and transform it, create relationships, perform calculations and build interactive reports and dashboards.
The training focuses not only on how to use Power BI, but also on understanding what the data means and how to communicate useful business insights.
Students repeatedly perform similar tasks with different datasets so that they gain confidence in handling real-world reporting requirements.

Power BI is learned by working with data repeatedly. Students will not simply watch demonstrations. They will work with datasets, make mistakes, correct them and repeat the same process using different business examples.
Power BI and data analytics skills can support entry-level opportunities in data, reporting, business intelligence and operations.
Students learn how to understand a business reporting requirement, work with raw data, create a data model, build dashboards and explain insights.
Students also work on a practical project that can be used to demonstrate Power BI skills during interviews and career discussions.
Students work with a realistic business dataset and complete the complete reporting workflow. They clean data, create relationships, develop calculations, build an interactive report and explain important business insights.
The assessment focuses on completing the complete workflow rather than simply memorising Power BI features.
This course focuses on practical Power BI and data analytics skills. Microsoft Power BI certifications, where applicable, are separate from Dheen Systems Academy training and are conducted through Microsoft's official certification process.
